Grading will be held at our Hazel Grove Dojo located inside Target Fitness on Jackson Lane. Students must remember to bring along their licenses and grading fee of £20 failure to do so will result in you being excluded from the grading session. Oss.
The official UKTKF calendar for 2014 is finally available. For all students wishing to know the dates of upcoming events please see below. Oss.
For students interested in participating in the UK Championships the latest update is that the event will take place at Leeds Met University on the 22nd March. There is still no details regarding the entrance fee as soon as Sensei Myk hears we will inform you as soon as possible. Oss.
It's finally back to normal with all our classes, as the seasonal holidays are behind us it's now time to burn away all those mince pics and chocolates. An important message of the year was announced yesterday and for students who were sadly unable to join us all at the 1st session of the New Year in Hazel Grove's, Target Fitness centre Sensei Mo has personally requested that all brown belts train 2 times a week (3 times is best) in the dojo. Brown belt students who are unable to train a minimum 2 times a week will not be grading in the future and more importantly those students looking to take their 1st dan this year with Sensei Kawasoe will not be offered the opportunity. Please remember martial arts is an art, although people see it as a hobby for students to progress you must be dedicated and willing to put in the time and effort to truly feel the full experience of Shotokan. Oss.
