There will be a normal class held before grading this Saturday. Everyone is expected to attend whether their grading or not. Please remember you must practice at home as often as possible to enhance your karate standard. This includes sit-ups, press ups, stamina and endurance training. It is not enough just to train in the Dojo once or twice a week. Only students that have shown dedication and effort with their karate will be asked to participate with their grading assessment. Oss.
We were recently in the Stockport Express about our fantastic success at Windsor Dan grading and the UKTKF Championships in Leeds this year. For students who haven't already seen our latest press release you can now view it below courtesy of Todd Fitzgerald at Stockport Express. If you would like a PDF copy to frame please speak to Sensei John. Oss.
It's with great news that we are able to confirm that Sensei Kawasoe will be returning to Brighouse Club for another open course in June. It's a fantastic opportunity to get up close with our master Sensei Kawasoe and to learn from one of JKA best instructors. We can not stress the importance, that if students are serious about progressing with their karate then attendance is crucial. The fee for attending Sensei Kawasoe next open course on June 29th is £10 per student. Please confirm with Sensei John if you wish to attend the course as soon as possible. Oss.
The next grading for student's will be held at our Target Fitness Dojo on the 7th June at 2pm. If you wish to grade please ensure you practice as hard as you do in the dojo at home too. This is the only way you will progress with your standards. Sensei's will be keeping a close eye on all student's and only those who have shown to train hard at home and in the dojo will only be offered the opportunity to grade.
Please don't forget your May monthly subs are now due, can student's ensure they bring along their subs when attending the next session in the dojo. Thank you, Oss.
Great news, all our students that travelled down to JKA grading in Windsor this weekend have all passed with flying colours. Well done to Sensei Julia, Sensei Tris, Sensei Maryama and Sensei Mele.
There will be no training this Saturday the 26th April due to Students grading in Windsor. Classes will recommence again on Tuesday 29th April. Senior students who wish to practice their kata etc are welcome to still use the dojo. However subject to your own risk.
